He is THE bear...the Dude. He's Smokey the Bear (or, Smokey Bear, Dude!). In 1968, this game--Smokey, the Story and Game of Smokey the Forest Fire Preventin' Bear"--was created to celebrate him and his important message. "Only YOU can prevent forest fires." And only 18 years later, my then pre-teen husband almost set an entire cornfield ablaze in Nebraska with his pal when they were playing with matches. Oh, those we the days. And they were really good kids! But they obviously hadn't played this game. Even the OWNER of this game never played with this game. Like many of the things here in the bungalow...it was never opened. Nope. Sad for poor kid. Lucky you though.
